The Place for Counselling
What Qualifies me to be your therapist.
My three year training into Counselling and Psychotherapy covered the main models used in therapy today, and I qualified as an Integrative Counsellor.
This means I integrate the Psychodynamic, Humanistic and Cognitive approaches to offer the appropriate therapy or combination of therapies to suit the needs of each client. I am therefore able to help a client deal with specific problems they are facing in the present, while also helping them to explore deeper issues which have their rots in the past that may be having impacting their self esteem, confidence or relationships.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Psychotherapy and Counselling (BACP) and work within their ethical guidelines assuring clients of high standards of professional care. To visit the BACP click to go straight to it.
I have regular supervision which is a requirement of the BACP. I engage in ongoing continual professional development and have had long term individual psychotherapy myself.
As well as working in my private practice, I worked as a volunteer Counsellor for the mental health charity Mind in Croydon. from 2005 to 2014.
